What this review checks

This framework looks at product fit, privacy and account controls, billing clarity, cancellation routes, and whether a decision can be made without pressure. A numerical score appears only when the editorial record contains dated supporting evidence; it is never a user-score average or a guarantee about another platform.

Dondi.ai is a fictional AI-companion platform for text conversation and AI-generated images, video, voice, and other media. Its current 2026 terms explicitly separate simulated characters from human relationships and document subscriptions, tokens, moderation, cancellation, refunds, and privacy rights. That policy detail makes it easier to audit than a service that explains only the character fantasy.

Nora Vale’s verdict is conditionally favorable. Dondi.ai may fit an adult who wants a well-documented AI entertainment product and will verify current limits before payment. It is not a dating service, a route to a verified person, a replacement for professional support, or a safe location for real identity and financial data.

What was checked for this update

Sources checked 16 July 2026. We reviewed the official terms of service, privacy notice, content-removal policy, help material, and the active affiliate offer and approved creative inventory attached to the existing review. We did not create a paid account or complete a purchase. We distinguish written policy from performance, pricing, and interface controls that require the current account.

No reproducible public price was confirmed for every reader. Dondi.ai describes free limits, subscriptions, and token-based access, but the selected cycle, amount, currency, tax, renewal, included units, generation cost, and eligibility for a refund must be taken from the final purchase context.

Our review framework rewards the recent, detailed disclosures while requiring readers to test reversibility. Compare related products in the AI companion category rather than confusing Dondi.ai with a human dating platform.

Fictional companions and product expectations

The terms say that all AI companions and interactions are fictional and simulated, and that the service can offer text plus generated images, video, and voice. They also state that AI output may be inaccurate or inconsistent and is not professional advice. These disclosures define the product honestly.

Judge it as a creative tool. Use a fictional scene and harmless details to assess continuity. Change a preference after several messages and see whether the system adapts. Try a clear topic boundary. A valuable experience should remain steerable; apparent affection or confidence is not evidence of awareness.

Character customization can improve relevance, but it can also encourage a user to reproduce a real person. Use imaginary traits and do not supply an identifiable person’s face, voice, biography, or intimate information without consent. The public removal policy provides a route when generated material creates a rights concern.

Generated media and moderation

Dondi.ai documents automated filtering and manual review for content suspected of violating its rules. Flagged prompts or outputs may be accessed, restricted, removed, or reported where appropriate. Moderation supports safety, but it also means an intimate conversation should not be treated as inaccessible to the operator.

Before generating media, check whether outputs are private, saved to a gallery, downloadable, or shared. Delete failed or unwanted results where the account allows. Do not enter documents, precise addresses, credentials, health records, or private information about another person.

If a request is blocked, do not attempt to evade the control. Repeated attempts can create account risk and may affect refund eligibility. Use the published content-removal and support routes instead of distributing a questionable output.

Subscriptions and tokens create separate costs

The terms describe limited free access, paid subscriptions, and tokens or virtual credits for premium features. Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically unless cancelled. Tokens have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, and can expire under the applicable subscription period.

Before buying, map the recurring layer and the consumption layer. Record the first charge, billing cycle, future renewal, included tokens, cost per media action, refill behavior, expiry, taxes, and refund window. A subscription that covers chat may still require tokens for repeated image or video generation.

Set a real-currency ceiling. Count unsuccessful or regenerated media in the estimate because compute can be consumed when a request is submitted. Disable any automatic refill not needed for the planned use case.

Refund rules have conditions

The current terms describe a limited request route for some subscription purchases and unused token purchases, subject to timing, eligible payment method, and usage thresholds. They also identify cases where refunds can be denied, including consumed features, policy enforcement, or chargeback consequences.

This is not a universal refund promise. Save the checkout, receipt, timestamp, and usage history. If a billing error occurs, contact support promptly and describe the transaction without posting card details publicly. Avoid spending tokens while a refund request depends on them remaining unused.

Compare this framework with the current Fanfinity review, which has its own Coin rules, and the Kupid AI review, whose public policies are older. Similar product labels can hide materially different exit terms.

Privacy rights and retained data

The privacy notice covers account, subscription, token, content, device, and usage information. It describes choices for account correction, marketing, submitted-content deletion, cookies, access, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable. Identity verification may be required before a request is fulfilled.

Use data minimization before relying on those rights. Choose a dedicated email and unique password, limit profile details, disable revealing notifications, and use fictional prompt context. Check mobile permissions for photos, microphone, and storage only when the desired feature requires them.

The policy says information can be retained for service, legal, dispute, security, or contractual purposes and later deleted or anonymized. Deleting one content item, closing the account, and requesting erasure are separate actions with different exceptions.

Cancellation and account deletion

Dondi.ai states that subscription cancellation is available through account settings. Cancellation should leave access until the end of the current period and prevent the next cycle, without a partial refund unless law requires one. Verify that wording against the live interface.

  1. Turn off renewal in the subscription settings.
  2. Save the confirmation and current-period end date.
  3. Check remaining tokens and any expiry rule.
  4. Remove optional characters, conversations, and media.
  5. Close the account when access is no longer required.
  6. Use the privacy contact for a formal erasure or access request.

Monitor the payment method after the old renewal date. Uninstalling an app or simply stopping use is not evidence that the subscription was cancelled.

Pros, cons, and recommendation

Pros: recent and detailed public terms; explicit fictional-product identity; documented moderation, token, cancellation, refund, and privacy processes; multiple media formats.

Cons: current feature limits and price remain purchase-screen dependent; token expiry can reduce value; sensitive prompts may be reviewed; refund eligibility is conditional.

Dondi.ai is one of the more policy-readable AI companions in this batch. That is a reason to shortlist it, not a reason to skip due diligence. Use fictional data, estimate token consumption, preserve the receipt, and locate deletion before paying. A product that cannot reproduce its public exit promises in the live account should be left without upgrading.
