Fansly vs Fanvue for Members: Privacy, Billing and Cancellation Compared

Fact-checked by Editorial Safety Team Last updated

Fansly and Fanvue compared for members on auto-renewal, cancellation proof, refunds, payment privacy, age verification and account data controls.

Fansly and Fanvue member billing, renewal and cancellation comparison

Checked 30 July 2026. This comparison is for paying members, not creators choosing payout tools. We reviewed the current Fansly terms, privacy and help guidance alongside Fanvue’s legal library. Prices are not ranked because creator-set tiers, promotions, currency and taxes change; the useful comparison is what happens to your data and money before, during and after a subscription.

Both platforms use recurring creator subscriptions. The key consumer control is proving that auto-renewal is off while preserving access through the paid period.

Subscriptions and cancellation

Fansly’s help centre says creator subscriptions renew automatically. The documented path is the Subscriptions page, then the cogwheel for the creator and “Don’t Renew Subscription” or the equivalent disable-auto-renew control. After cancellation, access remains through the paid period. The strongest confirmation is that the account shows an Expire Date instead of a Renew Date. Capture that screen.

Fanvue’s terms also describe recurring subscription billing. They say a member can cancel through the platform or by contacting support, with paid access continuing until the end of the subscription period. Fanvue also states that a standard subscription month is 30 days from payment, while promotions may vary. Do not assume a calendar-month end date; read the order and account record.

On either service, removing a card, unfollowing a creator or deleting a message is not a substitute for cancelling the subscription. After switching off renewal, check every active creator separately and compare the displayed end date with your receipt.

Refunds and purchase risk

Fansly’s current help guidance says most purchases and fees are final and non-refundable once digital content has been delivered. It notes that creators may have discretion in some cases, but a regret-based request is not a reliable refund path. Fanvue’s terms similarly describe a general no-refund approach, with limited discretionary or mandatory-law exceptions.

The safest approach is to treat subscriptions, tips, pay-per-view items and wallet/credit purchases as separate products. Confirm the exact item and amount before paying. A subscription does not necessarily include every paid message, and unused wallet value may have different rules from a card refund.

If access was not delivered or a renewal occurred after documented cancellation, preserve the receipt, transaction ID, cancellation proof and support exchange. Our cancellation evidence guide explains the order of escalation without jumping straight to a chargeback.

Privacy and age verification

Fansly’s privacy policy describes account, content and transaction data, service-provider sharing and deletion requests subject to legal exceptions. Its help centre says payment details are handled by processors rather than stored directly on Fansly and describes account privacy controls and two-factor authentication. Treat help-centre summaries as guidance and the privacy policy as the controlling disclosure.

Fanvue’s July 2026 privacy policy is unusually specific about age-verification data. It says viewers may have verification status and timestamps processed, while creators undergo more extensive identity and liveness checks. It names Ondato as the current verification provider and says Fanvue stores the minimum compliance result for viewers. The same policy covers usage data, viewed content, messages, device data, payment data and support communications.

Age verification can be legitimate without being frictionless. Before submitting a face or document, confirm why it is required in your jurisdiction, who processes it and how long each party retains the result. See our age-verification privacy checklist for a step-by-step review.

Payment privacy

Neither platform should be treated as invisible on a bank statement. Fanvue’s terms explicitly discuss possible statement descriptors and payment partners; Fansly routes payments through processors. Descriptors and processor availability can vary, so verify the checkout and a low-value first transaction rather than trusting an old screenshot from another user.

Use bank alerts, keep receipts outside the platform and avoid storing more wallet value than you expect to spend. The adult payment privacy guide covers statement descriptors, notifications and household-device risks.

Which platform gives members clearer controls?

For cancellation confirmation, Fansly has the clearer member-facing instruction: the visible change from renewal date to expiry date is an easy proof point. For policy depth, Fanvue currently publishes the more structured legal library, including detailed payment, privacy and age-verification sections. Neither difference guarantees better support in an individual dispute.

Choose based on the creator you want to follow, then run the same control test: screenshot the price and period, locate auto-renew before paying, enable stronger login security, and cancel early enough to confirm the expiry state. Do not prepay a long promotion until a one-period subscription has behaved as expected.
